COUNT US! County Under New Terrain I=69

Senator Lawrence Borst

If you only know one thing about I-69, this should be it:

The research of the I-69 funding issue commissioned
by  Indiana Senate Finance Chairman Lawrence Borst
.

State Senator Lawrence Borst has released his study of the I-69 Funding issue in Indiana.
 As a PDF file:  www.carri69.org/editorial/senator_lawrence_borst.pdf
As a HTML web page:  www.i69tour.org/borstreport.html

Senator Borst made his analysis public by release to the Southside Times on October 30, 2003 www.reporter-times.com/main.asp?SectionID=38&SubSectionID=23&ArticleID=6027

Senator Borst supported his constituents wish for an extension for time to study the 3000+ page FEIS and make comments:  A letter to Governor Kernan

Senator Borst sent his own public comments to the FEIS

The Southwest Times / reporter-times.com reports:

State Sen. Lawrence Borst, R-Greenwood, told the newly formed (Perry Township neighborhood)  association  that organized opposition was the best way to rebuff the interstate.

"There’s been damage done but it’s never a done deal," said Borst, who formerly lived in Perry Township. "With my experience in the political  arena, I know what it means when people protest. When I don’t get calls  or letters from people who oppose an issue, I take it that people don’t  care. Not a month goes by when I don’t get a postcard from the proponents  of this interstate. You have to get in there and fight it."

* We know of no opponents of I-69 that were contacted in the research of this analysis.  It is reported that the research of this document was conducted by former INDOT employee(s).  The results confirm much of what we have learned over years of studying the issue, but the presentation is the most clear we have seen and the facts presented expand even our prior knowledge.

We wonder why so many other elected officials and candidates can not find these facts!
