i-69 or interstate 69 opponents, Count Us!

  Hoosiers,

It is time for us to unite.  Daniels' assault on our communities with road building projects and privatized toll roads must be stopped.  Here is how we can join together.

The TCC-I69 proposal  (aka: Commerce Connector or Commerce Corridor)

You can start the momentum by writing letters to the editors of these newspapers:

The Shelbyville News

Shelbyville:  shelbynews@shelbynews.com

They have a nice page offering their advice for your letters at http://www.shelbynews.com/main.asp?SectionID=41&SubSectionID=81&ArticleID=6849&TM=24573.99

Their Letters to the Editor guidelines.
E-mail your letter to the Editor: shelbynews@shelbynews.com

They might make you register to access their pages.  Do it, it is free and we have noticed no spam increase to the US! mail.

The Franklin Daily Journal

This paper is up and running on the subject of Mitch's Toll Road and we need to throw gas on the fire.

Just the fact that they title the story "Toll Road" suggests that we have a partner... GET BUSY !

US! is You and Them....

The Martinsville Reporter Times

This paper will run your letter to the editor.  http://www.reporter-times.com/?module=displaysection&section_id=141&format=html

Martinsville has some strong leaders who need our help:

Brenda Buster and Darby Simpson.  Contact Brenda with your help and ideas:  busterb31@sbcglobal.net

Pendleton: The Anderson Herald Bulletin

http://www.heraldbulletin.com/connector

This paper too is very Bullish on this story.  Their front page has a link to again, "Toll Road".

The head of voices of I-69 is in Pendleton.  They are on existing I-69.  The supporters there are strong, so we need to make some inroads to the population who will easily add to our voices if they don't feel they are standing alone against their communities economic leaders!

We are not going to do this for US!, it need you if it is going to get done!

Review the state's Cartoon Map: http://www.in.gov/gov/pdfs/IndianaCommerceConnectoradditionalinfo.pdf

This is the usual procedure... provide a cartoon of the route so as to not alarm individuals to the impact on their properties too early in the process.
