MAJOR MOVES/ Indiana Toll Road Lend/ Lease Legislation 2006

MAJOR BAD MOVE:

Sale of the Indiana Toll road is being used to privatize taxes as "foreign investment" to be repaid forever as tolls. Opening the flood gate to a second INDOT tax everywhere in Indiana as Tolls, in addition to the gas tax will anger all Hoosiers when this is eventually understood. Major Moves will give INDOT license to contractually privatize our roads with 50, 75 and 100 years leases.

The 75 year lease of the Indiana Toll Road puts off the annual increases until Daniels second term, then the agreed increases will begin retroactively allowing a Major Move up in toll fees that will increase every year for the remaining 71 on the international trade agreement contract.

I-69: The lack of traffic between Evansville and Indianapolis has never justified building this Boondoggle. Daniel's support has been for pie-in-the-sky jobs that will flock to this Toll Road... Never supported by any study!

Your roads are next! I-69 was not identified in the original Major Move bill. Daniel asked for authority to establish new privatized toll taxes with Major Moves powers. Senators, Simpson, Meeks and Kenley made this bill specific to I-69 and the Indiana Toll road after the House Republicans version would have allowed every road sold and tolled.

We predicted here in 2006: "Watch out... Daniels will bring it back." He has... the Indianapolis south-east partial beltway I-69 connector and the Illiana Toll Road are now his privatization ploys. He was granted and had to give up tolling of I-69, 3C or loss the Federal suit of the ongoing I-69 EIS/ Environmental Impact Study.

Bigger than Indiana; A New kind of tax: This selling our nations transportation corridors will result in our tolls going to Foreign Investors for the benefit of any road project in the world deemed potentially profitable by the International Consortium Toll Road Privateers.
