As neighbors chat, the truck in the picture below is in one of the oncoming 70 mph traffic lanes of proposed I-69 Routes 3A and 3B.

To keep it simple:
Go to Washington Indiana for the official beginning.
Washington: Gillooly's Colbert Farm is 3 Miles South of Washington just east of  US-57 (100W & 450S)
The Finish  is at Southwestway Park at Mann Road southwest of Indianapolis.

There will be an I-69 Tour of the New Terrain Guide available at each of the starting points
as well as a identifing poster for your rear window with directions to Southwestway Park.

1 PM.  In location east of Washington to be determined, we will stop and silence our cars for two minutes in homage with the Amish who do not use cars, but who may be asked to give of their homes and community for I-69.

2:00PM Scotland gas station.  Option of rest/ gas break then a quick highway route to Bloomington, or continue the beautiful rural Greene County Roads.

2:45 PM Stanford Persons will travel to choice of 3B or to 3C as those routes pass near by. 

2:30 to 4PM  Bloomington, Oliver's Winery.  Music by the Dew Daddies. 

3:00 to 5 PM,  Mann Road near 465 at Southwestway Park.  Speeches, music, posting of our pictures of “what we will miss most” on the wailing wall.

What you need to bring.
  • Two pictures of what ever you will miss most about your community if your route is built.
  • A map (Just in case)  Take one of the four existing highways down to your point of beginning and imagine passing lanes instead of this interstate.
  • An umbrella or rain coat (just in case)
  • A car with a full tank of gas.
  • A picnic lunch and a blanket if you come to Washington, Indiana.
  • A little patience and love for your neighbor.
  • A handkerchief (just in case)

Proposed Schedule of Events

8:30 am breakfast meeting at the point of beginning for the routes leaders.

10 am  start of our Sunday Drive

11 am arrival at BYO picnic lunch "farm or church" near Washington
Proceed to the starting point for that route and receive a color poster  to match your tour.
Tape it in your rear window so you can still see out the mirror.
